Our Story
Each piece is hand crafted by me, Philip Landry, and it's rare to find any two pieces exactly alike. To me, this is art, and I consider it an extetention of myself. I will not list anything I am not pleased with. The most fascinating thing to me about wood turning is the planning and the results. Each night after turning I will plan my cuts for the next day and envision what the final product will look like, but in the end, I am often suprised with what the wood has given me.
Many of my products are turned with green, or wet wood. Take a bowl for instance. I will remove the finished product from the lathe, finish it with organic bees wax and oils, and set it on a shelf. In the following days or weeks, the bowl may become oval shaped, or form a wavy rim. For me, seeing the transformation is fascinating. I also want to mention that I do my best to waste none of the logs I cut. I find that even the smallest cuts can still be turned into something enjoyable.
